1. Who we are and who this policy covers
ValkoTech ("we", "us", or "our") operates ValkoTech as a private workplace calendar application. The service is intended only for employees, contractors, and other people whose access has been approved by the operator. This policy applies to information processed through the application.
2. Information we process
We process only information reasonably needed to operate, secure, and support the application. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
- Account information: your name, work email address, internal user identifier, account status, and authentication records.
- Google account information: basic account details made available during authorization, such as your email address and account identifier.
- Google Calendar data: calendar identifiers and names, event titles, descriptions, dates and times, locations, attendee information, availability, and other event details required by the enabled calendar features.
- Authorization information: OAuth access and refresh tokens used to maintain the connection you approve. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Technical and security information: IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, diagnostic logs, and records of actions taken in the application.
- Support information: information you provide when requesting help or reporting a problem.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- authenticate authorized users and administer access;
- display calendars and work event details in the application;
- create, update, synchronize, or delete calendar events when requested by an authorized user;
- maintain calendar connections and prevent duplicate or conflicting updates;
- secure, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of the application;
- respond to support requests and comply with legal or company security obligations.
We do not use Google user data for advertising, marketing profiles, credit decisions, or any purpose unrelated to the application's calendar functions.
4. Google API Services User Data
ValkoTech accesses Google user data only after a user grants permission through Google's OAuth consent flow. We request only the permissions needed to provide the calendar features described on our welcome page and in this policy.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
We do not permit humans to read Google user data unless you have given specific consent, it is necessary for security or support and is limited to the data required, it is required by law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations. Access by authorized personnel is restricted and subject to confidentiality obligations.
5. When information is shared
We do not sell or rent personal information or Google user data. Information may be disclosed only:
- within ValkoTech to authorized personnel who need it to operate, secure, or support the application;
- to infrastructure, hosting, monitoring, or support providers that process information for us under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations;
- to Google when necessary to use Google authentication and Calendar services at your direction;
- when required by law, legal process, or a valid request from a competent authority; or
- to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the operator, or the application.
6. Storage, security, and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These measures include access controls, encrypted connections, protected credential storage, and security logging where appropriate. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
OAuth tokens are retained while a Google Calendar connection remains active or as needed to provide the requested integration. Calendar data may be stored or cached only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and support the application, meet security and audit needs, or satisfy legal obligations. Data is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer required, subject to applicable backup and retention schedules.
7. Your choices and controls
You may disconnect the application from Google or review and revoke its access from your Google Account connections. Revoking access stops future API access, but does not automatically delete information already required for legitimate security, audit, or legal purposes.
To request access, correction, deletion, or other action concerning your information, contact your company administrator or email romeo@valkotech.hu. Some requests may be handled under your employment or contractor relationship and applicable law.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
The application may use essential cookies or similar local storage to keep users signed in, protect sessions, remember interface preferences, and secure requests. We do not use these technologies for third-party advertising.
9. Children's privacy
ValkoTech is a workplace application and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the application.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the application, our data practices, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through appropriate internal channels.
